About Waldorf Education
Waldorf Education
The Waldorf educational movement began in Europe nearly 100 years ago. Today, River Valley Waldorf School is part of a rapidly growing international community of over 900 schools on five continents. Sharing a common philosophy, methodological approach, and a basic curriculum, Waldorf schools are committed to academic excellence, and offer their students a rigorous classical education balanced with imagination and creativity, so that they may prepare for the demands of tomorrow’s world. Waldorf teaching methods nurture healthy emotional development by conveying knowledge experientially as well as academically. The belief that education is an artistic process lies at the heart of Waldorf philosophy.
