Procedures Attend an Open Day. Individual tours are available by appointment, however Open Day attendance is optimal. Application paperwork is available at this time. Return Enrollment Application to the River Valley Waldorf School with a $40.00 non-refundable application fee. Submit request for records and teacher survey to present school as needed. Faculty Schedules Application Visit. One day for Early Childhood. Three to five days for Grade School. While the child spends time in the classroom, parents have a short interview with the enrollment coordinator. After class is dismissed, the parents interview with faculty and the child is further assessed by the faculty. Acceptance: following assessment of readiness by the teacher and review of application and information from the previous school (when appropriate), River Valley Waldorf School issues a letter welcoming the child and family to the community or expresses regrets. Enrollment: the school issues a contract which, when returned within 21 days of acceptance (with appropriate deposits and fees), will secure a space for the child. For mid-year enrollments, the class teacher will determine the appropriate date for the child to join his/her class. The River Valley Waldorf School operates from a very specific philosophical foundation. Our enrollment Process is structured to ensure that both the parents and the school are able to make an informed decision regarding mutual compatibility for a long-term relationship.
