Our nursery program is offered for children who are between 2 ½ and 4 years of age. The class is offered Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 1:00pm. Children may attend 2-5 days depending on their age and their family’s needs. Class size is limited to 12-14 children with a teacher and an assistant. The structure of the day is modeled after our kindergarten classes, with age-appropriate adjustments. Children will participate in free-play inside and out, circle time, story and a daily activity such as bread baking, painting and seasonal crafts. The class cultivates the important social skills needed for group activity and learning. If the length of day is not manageable for your child, an optional 11:30 pick-up time may be arranged which will allow for lunch and an afternoon nap at home. Children who are 2 ½ - 3 years may attend as few as 2 consecutive days. Children who are 3 ½ must enroll for 3 or more consecutive days per week.  The parent or guardian will submit an application for the child and will have an interview with RVWS faculty. The teacher may request a classroom visit prior to a child being accepted into the program for mid-year admissions. Preference is given to children who have participated in our Garden Gate program.
