From the idyllic early childhood classrooms to the rigors of the middle school years, River Valley Waldorf School prepares students to meet this future. Using the comprehensive, multidimensional Waldorf curriculum, our skilled faculty foster intellectual achievement coupled with the creative thinking and emotional intelligence necessary to navigate tomorrow’s complex problems. They promote physical vitality and the will to persevere in the face of adversity. And they develop spiritual or moral depth together with the sense of respect and responsibility to effect positive change.

One of the main cornerstones of Waldorf education -- and one that differentiates Waldorf from public and most other education systems -- is the intention to provide the right experience at the right time, when a student is physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually ready. Then, by integrating math, science, arts, languages and movement – students become fully engaged in learning. The Waldorf curriculum begins gently and builds a foundation that is deep, broad and sturdy, from which our students can soar.
